    HW: 1) Finish class work, if necessary. 2) Grammar Book - Read page 414 - 415. Do Exercise 1, p. 416. Only three of the sentences are complete.

    • Read p. 150 - 151.
      • Do Ex. 5, p. 151. Write out the sentences using the correct verb. Underline the subject(s) once and the verb(s) twice.
  • Journal Entry #13 - Do a Close Reading [PDF] of either the article "Sports Teach Kids Valuable Lessons" [PDF] OR "Give Children Variety and Time Off" [PDF]. Add margin notes to an evidence chart for JE #13.

HW: 1) Finish class work, if necessary. 2) Get your 3rd Quarter Independent Reading Log signed. Due tomorrow.

      • Directions: For both exercises, write the sentence using the complete verb. Underline the subject(s) once. Underline the verb(s) twice. Put parentheses around the prepositional phrases.
